Blue Ocean Group
Blue Ocean Group, Inc. was established as a high-end technology services firm with a focus on consulting and project outsourcing.
JAN 2007
First Acquisition
Improving Enterprises LLC and Blue Ocean Group, Inc. merged to become Improving Enterprises, Inc. combining the established training, consulting, and project management capabilities of each to maximize the benefits of their existing clients and future clients.
NOV 2010
Acquired Columbus-based The Sophic Group, Inc., which became Improving – Columbus, and expanded the company’s reach into the Midwest United States. The companies’ service offerings were very closely aligned, with a focus on Agile, Microsoft (.Net), and Java application development services.
SEP 2012
Acquired Alphaware Training Center of Houston. In addition to expanding the company’s national presence in the Southwest United States, Improving – Houston has capitalized on established professional relationships and maximized existing sales and marketing, resulting in an increase in overall revenues.
DEC 2013
Acquired Quadrus Development, Inc., which became Improving – Calgary. The acquisition significantly strengthened the breadth and depth of technical consulting services, business intelligence and data services, and training offerings that are now being leveraged across local and international markets.
AUG 2014
Acquired The Willow Group, Inc. becoming Improving – Twin Cities. The Willow Group’s service offerings focus on delivering critical information systems and business process improvements in two major vertical markets – financial services and healthcare.
AUG 2017
ProSource Solutions Acquisition
Acquired ProSource Solutions becoming Improving – Cleveland, our sixth enterprise location. ProSource Solutions’ service offerings focus on Microsoft technologies and cloud computing.
JUL 2018
Trinity Hunt Gains Majority Interest
Improving partners with Dallas-based private equity firm, Trinity Hunt Partners, to accelerate the company’s growth through both organic and strategic methods.
JAN 2019
Innovative Architects Acquisition
Improving acquires Georgia-based Innovative Architects, making it our seventh enterprise location. Innovative Architects brings extensive expertise in cloud computing and Microsoft business solutions to the Improving name.
OCT 2019
Acquired Dallas-based Code Authority, specializing in custom software development. Code Authority has successfully started and grown a unique program called CodeLaunch which pairs early-stage startups with venture capitalists, service sponsors, and software development teams to accelerate their path to success.
JUN 2020
Improving acquires Austin-based iTexico, our ninth enterprise location. iTexico's business offerings include multiple Nearshore Innovation Centers that provide a wide range of services including Design, Product Engineering, QA, Mobile, Cloud, and AI which are great alternatives to outsourcing.
AUG 2020
Improving acquires Minneapolis-based Object Partners. OPI joins forces with Improving - Twin Cities to bring a wealth of software development expertise and technology service capabilities to better serve the Midwest region.
AUG 2021
Improving acquires Chicago – based Tahoe Partners, our eleventh enterprise location. Tahoe Partners is a long-standing Microsoft Gold Partner and brings a great amount of experience around digital transformation and deep cloud technology expertise.
FEB 2022
Acquired Ottawa-based YoppWorks, whose expertise lies in digital transformation and is a strong Google Cloud Partner.
OCT 2022
Improving acquires Bit Quill, out of Vancouver, Canada, bringing expertise in data and cloud software services.
JAN 2023
Improving acquires Zigatta, an international technology solutions company with offices in Dallas as well as Guadalajara, Mexico, specializing in cloud, data, and marketing technology.
MAY 2023
Improving acquires Jump Analytics, a technology firm specializing in advanced analytics and corporate performance management, with offices throughout Canada, and establishing a Toronto office presence for Improving.
JUN 2024
Improving acquires Imaginet, a technology services firm with offices in Winnipeg, Canada and Dallas, Texas that specializes in Microsoft solutions including 365, application development, business intelligence, and more.
OCT 2024
Improving acquires Leniolabs, a nearshoring technology services company specializing in front-end team augmentation and product development with offices in Argentina and Chile.
